In the wake of an unspeakable tragedy, Igbo-Eze South Local Government Area Chairman, Mr. Ferdinand Ukwueze has pledged to seek justice for the victims and their family.

Four siblings, aged 2 to 7, were brutally murdered with a pestle by a spiritualist pastor in the quiet community of Ibagwa-Aka, leaving residents shocked and devastated.

Mr. Ukwueze expressed his outrage and sadness over the heinous crime, offering condolences to the grieving family.

“Our community was shaken by the tragic and heinous murder of four innocent children in Ibagwa-Aka,” he said, extending his condolences to the family of the victims during a visit to the family on Saturday.

Ukwueze visited the crime scene alongside officers from the Nigeria Police Force, the Department of State Services (DSS), and other security operatives.

The visit aimed to evaluate the situation and oversee the immediate actions taken to ensure justice for the victims.

“Following preliminary investigations, law enforcement agencies have apprehended some key suspects in connection with the crime, while still searching for others yet at large,” he revealed.

The council boss took a decisive action by ordering the sealing of the premises linked to the prime suspects. The site is believed to have been used for unauthorized herbal medicine operations and spiritual activities.

“We are fully committed to supporting the ongoing investigation and ensuring that justice is served,” Ukwueze vowed.

The devastated parents, Chinonso Ezema and Loveth Ezema, who were away during the incident, are demanding justice for their children. “We want the police to thoroughly investigate this and ensure the culprit is brought to book,” the father pleaded.
