Police Confirms The Arrest Of A Kano Man Who Locked 30-Year-Old Son In Car Garage For 7 Years

Pastor Richard Daniel, general overseer of the light and faith gospel mission in Calabar, cross river state have been arrested by the police yesterday after his indictment by two robbery suspects who claimed that they were members of his church.

The two suspects, Matthew Inyango and Daniel Bassey who were arrested with guns and knives at odukpani junction after attacking Dr Peter Benson in his compound confessed to the crime by indicting the pastor and claimed to be ushers in the church.

The suspects who claimed to have information of every rich member that attended the church through their membership cards that contained their full details said that “we normally send the names and forms filled by new members who visited the church to our pastor after the church service and he would fix a date for their operation” adding that, they only robbed the rich members.

From the source, the police were said to have had information of the vehicle used by the gang while approaching a police checkpoint, adding that “police discovered guns and knives from them after tedious agitation and denial.”
