The General Superintendent of Deeper Life Bible Church Pastor W.F Kumuyi has told his congregation how God exposed a sexually excited pastor to him.
A member of the church had asked a question over the strict disciplinary regulations of the church in a viral video.
Answering the questions, the renowned cleric spoke about the story of the prodigal son and used it to tell his experience about a randy pastor who was exposed of his immoral conduct.
Kumuyi said a female member of the church once reported a pastor (names withheld) of allegedly attempting to seduce and manhandling her. “The man was invited and I told her what the woman had said about him but he denied. But the holy spirit told me that he actually committed the offence and I told him to his face. He denied still and walked out of my office but we suspended him,” Kumuyi said.
Kumuyi stated that after about six months, the pastor was invited and was asked again if he had repented and might like to confess but he refused to own up again.
“Then the suspension continued and he started spreading the news by himself that I punished him for a sin he never committed. I pretended as if I heard nothing until after some years he left for another town and I did not see him again,”
Pastor Kumuyi stated. Years after, Pastor Kumuyi said he stumbled on the man at a Deeper Life Church’s programme during an altar call where he noticed the same man among those who wanted to give their lives to Jesus.
“Immediately I noticed him and I took time to ask him questions. I asked him which position he was holding at the time and he said he had no post in the church. I called on the leaders why they had refused to fix him in a position, instead they told me what he did, which had deprived him of occupying any post. They said a woman in the church reported him of trying to seduce her. He came to another church to repeat the same sin that chased him away from me,” Kumuyi narrated.
Pastor Kumuyi stated that as long as a sinner continues to deny a sin that he commits and refuses to confess, he will continue to suffer humiliation.
According to him, there is a place of humility in humiliation, adding, ” until the biblical prodigal son realised his sin and thought of going back to his father, not even as a son anymore, but as one of the slaves who is not worthy to occupy any position, he will continue to suffer humiliation.
