A fake pastor who specialised in duping unsuspecting women of huge sums of money by claiming the Lord sent him to them has been arrested by policemen in Lagos State.
The man, David Diri, was arrested by operatives of the Rapid Response Squad, an outfit of the Lagos State Police Command, on Tuesday, October 1, following a complaint by a woman whom he swindled.
According to reports, the man will walk up to unsuspecting woman and says: “My sister, the Lord sent me to you,” and continue to tell them stories bordering mostly on their marital issue, promising to pray for them after collecting money from them.
According to the RRS, “David Diri is a suspected serial scammer who parades himself as a pastor to dupe unsuspecting females of huge amounts of money. He walks up to them and says: “My sister, the Lord sent me to you.”
