Pastor Who Claimed To Have COVID-19 Healing Power Dies After Contact With Patient

A renowned Cameroonian pastor, Frankline Ndifor, who claimed to have the power to make COVID-19 patients recover from the virus has died of the virulent infection

Consequently, a significant amount of his congregation have been consumed by apprehension following his demise

He had prayed for many his supporters to get cure of the coronavirus.

According to Voice of America, Cameroon police used force to gain access to his residence within the economic capital town Douala, as a number of his supporters blocked entrances, praying for his resurrection

Hundreds of followers sang Sunday morning at Ndifor’s Douala residence that the person popularly referred  to as the prophet isn’t dead, however he’s rather on a spiritual retreat with God and will come soon. Their singing and prayers were broadcast by many native radio stations.

Ndifor died and was buried in front of his residence Saturday by staff of Cameroon’s COVID-19 response team in Douala.

Doctor Gaelle Nnanga said by electronic messaging application from Douala that Ndifor died less than a week after being diagnosed with COVID-19.

He had said  that some members of Ndifor’s kingship International Ministries Church referred to as him to return to the pastor’s aid after they detected Ndifor was in agony, which when the medical team he leads arrived, Ndifor was having severe respiratory difficulties. He says the pastor died not up to 10 minutes after they treated him.

The governor of Cameroon’s coastal region, where Douala is, said in a release he deployed police to force their way to Ndifor’s residence when his followers pursued medical employees away, claiming that the pastor was on a spiritual retreat with God, instead of dead, and will not be buried.

Ndifor follower Rigobert Che says the “prophet” last Wednesday prayed for him and a number of other dozen individuals diagnosed with COVID-19, and a few who suspected they were carriers or had symptoms. He says via a messaging application that Ndifor’s death has brought panic to the hundreds of those who are visiting him for prayers for a divine cure.

“This is a pastor that has been laying hands [on the sick] and claiming that he cures COVID-19,” Che said. “If you, the individual that claims that you are curing COVID-19, you’re dead, what about the fellow people that were affected by the COVID-19? currently that he’s dead, I don’t know how the people that he was laying hands on are going to be well.”

Medical employees are asking all those that came in contact with the pastor to report back to hospitals to be tested for COVID-19, in line with VOA.
