EKO HOT BLOG reports that in Guymon, Oklahoma, prosecutors have charged a fifth member of an anti-government group with the killing and kidnapping of two Kansas women.
Paul Jeremiah Grice, 31, faces charges including two counts of first-degree murder, two counts of kidnapping, and conspiracy to commit murder.
According to an arrest affidavit, Grice confessed to his involvement in the killing and burial of Veronica Butler, 27, and Jilian Kelley, 39, of Hugoton, Kansas.
Currently held without bond at the Texas County Detention Center, it’s unclear if Grice has legal representation.
Additionally, four others implicated in the deaths are also in custody without bail: Tifany Adams, 54, and her boyfriend, Tad Cullum, 43, of Keyes, along with Cole, 50, and Cora Twombly, 44, of Texhoma, Oklahoma.
Butler and Kelley went missing on March 30 while en route to pick up Butler’s children for a birthday party.
Adams, the children’s grandmother, was embroiled in a custody battle with Butler, who had limited visitation rights supervised by Kelley.
Furthermore, according to witnesses, all five suspects were part of an anti-government group with religious ties, self-identified as “God’s Misfits,” holding regular meetings at the Twomblys’ home and another couple’s residence.
