The aggrieved Governors had vowed not to work for the presidential candidate of the party, Atiku Abubakar due to northern dominance in key positions in the party.

The development saw the Governors call for the resignation of the National Chairman of the party, Iyorchia Ayu.

Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi (Enugu State), Samuel Ortom (Benue State), Okezie Ikpeazu (Abia State), and Wike are meeting to deliberate on the 2023 elections.

Meanwhile, the Governor of Oyo State, Seyi Makinde who is out of the country was absent from the meeting.

The Governor of Enugu State received the aggrieved Governors at the Akanu Ibiam International Airport and they all moved to the Government House for the meeting.

As of the time of filing this report, the Governors are yet to release the detail of their meeting.

A source at the meeting that spoke with Leadership disclosed that the PDP Governors are thinking of more options available to them

The source said, “You know that the G-5 governors are not happy that Atiku is ignoring them and feeling on top of the world, so they are looking for options and they are deliberating on the next line of action.”
