PDP Congratulates Gov. Obaseki Over Edo Election Tribunal Victory

• “The PDP thanks the good people of Edo for their continued support as well as Gov. Godwin Obaseki for his steadfastness and commitment to resetting Edo.

The Edo chapter of Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has congratulated Gov. Godwin Obaseki over his victory at the Governorship Election Petition Tribunal.

Mr Chris Nehikhare, the State PDP Publicity Secretary said this in a statement on Tuesday in Benin.

Nehikhare said that the judgment was a testament to the rule of law, justice, and equity.

He also said that the judgment has reinforced the believe that the nation’s judiciary had matured and could not be manipulated to satisfy the whims and caprices of political jobbers.

“We congratulate Obaseki for this latest victory.

“It is clear that the opposition’s booby trap of unwarranted, unnecessary, mindless, and malicious court cases are collapsing and experiencing the domino effect.

“We, therefore, use this opportunity to ask those with a conscience to use this Holy Week to seek penance and then join Obaseki and PDP in the development of our dear state.

“Edo Must Move Forward,” he said.
