Lawsuit Against Atiku ‘Delayed’ Over Illness Of Wike’s Lawyer
EKO HOT BLOG reports that the absence of a lawyer representing the Governor of Rivers State, Nyesom Wike and the Michael Ekamon, Wilfred Okoi has stalled the suit filed against the presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Atiku Abubakar.
Ekamon, the first plaintiff in the suit filed against Atiku said Okoi was not in court because he was indisposed.

Upon the resumption of the hearing of the suit on Wednesday, Ekamon told Justice Ahmed Mohammed of a Federal High Court, Abuja about Okoi’s absence.
The suit is challenging the emergence of Atiku as the presidential candidate of PDP in the 2023 presidential election.
Okoi was not in court when the case was called for hearing. Though Ekamon was in court, Governor Wike was absent from the court.
Ekamon, a PDP member, and Wike are 1st and 2nd plaintiffs respectively in a suit marked: FHC/ABJ/CS/782/22 dated June 2 and filed June 3.
While the PDP is the 1st defendant, the Independents National Electoral Commission (INEC), the Sokoto State Governor, Aminu Tambuwal and Atiku are 2nd to 4th defendants respectively.
The Rivers Governor in the suit wants the court to pronounce him as the presidential candidate of PDP.
Wike had condemned the process that produced Atiku as the party’s candidate in the presidential primary of the party.
