PDP Faces Setback as Court Halts Congress Activities in Nasarawa
The National headquarters of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Abuja has received a court order prohibiting the party from conducting congresses at all levels in Nasarawa State.
This order was delivered via substituted service following an ex parte motion filed by 16 party members, including Senator Mohammed Ogoshi Onawo, who represents Nasarawa South in the Nigerian Senate.
The Nasarawa State High Court in Doma, under the leadership of Justice Abdullahi Hassan Shams Shama, issued the order, which temporarily halts the PDP’s congress activities in the state.
Additionally, the court granted the request for substituted service and scheduled the next hearing for October 3, 2024.
