PDP has been destroyed without remedy –Dino Melaye
A former senator, Dino Melaye has accused the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, leadership of destroying the party beyond redemption.
Melaye specifically accused the Acting National Chairman, Umar Iliya Damagum, National Secretary, Senator Samuel Anyanwu, and National Organising Secretary, Umar Bature, of being behind the bad fortunes of the party.
Melaye has kept a low profile since he lost the Kogi governorship election and refused to challenge the outcome in court.
In a post via his official X handle, he said, “End of the road for PDP as Damagun, Bature, and Anyanwu irredeemably destroyed the party. We will talk about the commercialisation and privatisation of PDP. PDP is now once upon a time.”

The lawmakers alleged that the party leaders were plotting to sabotage the PDP by aiding defected former members of the Rivers State House of Assembly with legal backing.
According to them, this was an attempt to impeach the Rivers State governor, Sim Fubara.
Damagum replied to the allegation, warning that nobody could intimidate him into resigning from his position.
