PDP says it has learnt from its mistakes during the last gubernatorial election in Kogi state
EKO HOT BLOG reports that Kogi State Peoples Democratic Party governorship (PDP) aspirant in the 2019 elections, Abubakar Idris, said the party has learnt from its mistakes which led to losing to the All Progressive Congress (APC).
Idris, son of former Kogi State Governor, Ibrahim Idris, explained that the party members and the people of Kogi State now know better which party better served their interest as a people.
He said, “We are all wiser now. We are better together as members of the larger PDP family; mistakes were made and lessons have been learnt. I have no doubt in my mind that going forward, the PDP, especially in Kogi State will set the pace for others to follow.

“The missing link in our state is that of governance. We have the human and natural resources to make our state great but the gap between the leadership and the led has left us where we are. We have capable young people who are willing to work but the jobs are simply not there.
“A government that listens and is ready to develop the Information Communication Technology skills of our youths will make the difference even farming that has remained the mainstay of our rural economy can benefit from ICT and mechanization.
“Kogi State is blessed, we have access to the three modes of transportation, rail, roads and water but the waterways have not been fully utilized because of policy inconsistencies.
“Work on the dredging of the Lokoja Port has been painfully slow; we cannot continue like this if our state is to take its rightful place.”
