EKO HOT BLOG reports that Speaking during a constituency empowerment programme, where she distributed vehicles, motorcycles, sewing machines, and water pumps to constituents, Ibori-Suenu asserted that her move to the APC has revitalized her political aspirations.
She accused the PDP of undermining her political progress and expressed gratitude to her supporters and APC leaders for their encouragement.
“We will bury PDP in Ologbo River, the bridge between Delta and Edo States,” Ibori-Suenu declared. “I am already at home; APC is supreme. The people in PDP wanted to kill my political aspirations, but thank God, I have finally left.”
Her defection drew commendation from Senator Ovie Omo-Agege, the immediate past Deputy Senate President, who described her as a “political bulldozer.” Omo-Agege expressed optimism that Ibori-Suenu’s energy and influence would bolster the APC’s chances in Delta State for the 2027 elections.
“With Hon. Erhiatake Ibori-Suenu’s support, the APC is better positioned to take over Delta. Her energy and dedication will greatly strengthen our chances,” Omo-Agege stated.
