Former Senate Minority Leader, Senator Biodun Olujimi, has said that the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) may not be able to win the Ekiti State governorship election in 2022 if the party’s national leadership failed to reconcile contending groups in the chapter, EKO HOT BLOG has gathered.
Olujimi gave the warning in a statement made available to newsmen in Ado Ekiti, the state capital on Sunday.
Olujimi, who is the former deputy governor of the state, said that the party has no luxury of time as political parties participating in the governorship poll ought to have conducted primary election to pick candidate by March 2022.

The Senator representing Ekiti South Senatorial District stressed that unless the Prince Uche Secondus-led PDP National Working Committee commences genuine process of reconciliation, any attempt to delay further might spell doom for the party in the forthcoming governorship election.
Olujimi further enjoined the national leadership of the PDP to take urgent steps to reconcile all contending groups in the state chapter or forget reclaiming Ekiti from the ruling All Progressive Congress (APC) in 2022.
She, therefore, warned the immediate past governor of Ekiti State, Ayodele Fayose, against placing curses on perceived opponent of his anointed candidate, Mr. Bisi Kolawole, noting that such action was not only unacceptable but condemnable.
Olujimi added that the leaders in Ekiti ought to preach peace, love, and reconciliation because wining elections require the support of all party men and women.
