The Caretaker Committee of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) South-West Zone has invalidated the suspension of five chieftains of the party in Ondo State.
The PDP Caretaker Committee, in a statement issued on Tuesday by the Zonal Director of Media and Publicity, Lere Olayinka, described the suspension by the State Working Committee as not being in line with the party’s constitution.

Eko Hot Blog had reported that the Ondo State Working Committee of the PDP had suspended Chief Oyedele Ibini, Hon. Lad Ojomo, Mr. Ayo Fadaka, Hon. Rasheed Elegbeleye and Hon. Ebenezer Alabi on December 22, 2020.
The Caretaker Committee in a letter to the Ondo State Chairman of the party, Hon. Fatai Adams, called for restrain and urged him to always ensure that his actions were in tandem with the laws of the party.
The letter signed by the Zonal Secretary of the party, Hon. Daisi Akintan, dated December 28, 2020, was copied to the PDP National Chairman, Prince Uche Secondus, chairman of the National Reconciliation Committee, Senator Bukola Saraki, and others.
