EKO HOT BLOG reports that in a resignation letter dated April 16, 2025, and addressed to the PDP Chairman in Ward 7, Obokun Local Government Area, Oke formally severed ties with the party under which he served six terms in the National Assembly.
Speaking briefly on Wednesday, the lawmaker confirmed the development in a telephone conversation.
“I have resigned from the PDP,” he stated, without offering further details about his next political destination.
Although he withheld information regarding his future plans, Oke urged his supporters and loyalists across the constituency to also exit the party and await further instructions.
His resignation has stirred speculation about a potential defection to the All Progressives Congress (APC) or another emerging political platform, as political alignments shift ahead of upcoming elections.
