PDP Rubbishes Rumors Of Adeleke’s Defection To APC

  • The People’s Democratic Party have come up with a statement to debunk rumors of Osun State governor, Ademola Adeleke.

  • The rumor mill started in response to the victory of the APC in the 2023 elections, with the Osun State PDP debunking the reports.

  • They term the reports on Adele’s decamping as fallacious lies.

EKO HOT BLOG reports that the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Osun State has denied rumors circulating on social media that the state governor, Ademola Adeleke, plans to defect to the All Progressives Congress (APC).

The PDP dismissed the rumors as “fallacious and cheap lies” and called on voters to support the PDP candidates in the upcoming House of Assembly election.

The PDP’s Caretaker Chairman, Dr. Akindele Adekunle, alleged that the rumors originated from the APC and called on the public to ignore them.

The PDP stated that Adeleke remains committed to the party, as demonstrated by the impressive victory he led the PDP to in the Presidential and National Assembly elections in Osun State.

Part of the statement reads, “Let me urge the public to discard the rumour of defection. There is no reason for it, especially given the impressive victory he led the PDP to just a few days ago at the Presidential and National Assembly elections in Osun State.

“Osun APC is badly decimated and is struggling to even find its feet. Governor Adeleke has within 100 days proved that good governance is possible, hence the massive goodwill the PDP currently enjoys across the state. So voters should ignore the lies from the pit of hell. Governor Adeleke remains a PDP leader and Governor”, the statement posited
