The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) is set to screen Governor Godwin Obaseki on Saturday, June 20, 2020, for the Edo State gubernatorial primaries.
The National Working Committee (NWC) of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), announced that its screening committee for the Edo governorship primary would resume again on 20 June.
This opening was set to accommodate the interest of Governor Godwin Obaseki after he formally joined the PDP in Benin on Friday.

According to Col. Austin Akobundu (rtd), the PDP National Organising Secretary, the screening would continue at the NWC Hall, Wadata Plaza, Abuja, from 10 a.m. prompt.
“The National Working Committee (NWC) of our great party, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), has approved the continuation of the Screening Exercise by the screening committee.
“The Committee is mandated to screen all Aspirants for the upcoming 2020 Governorship Election in Edo State.
“The exercise is scheduled to continue on Saturday, June 20, 2020, at the NWC HALL, Wadata Plaza, Abuja.” the statement read
The committee members for the screening include Mr. Kingsley Chinda as Chairman, Boyele Debekeme as Secretary, Chief Oladimeji Fabiyi, Sen. Mrs. Joy Emordi, and Hajiya Aishat Hasindu as members.
