PDP: Wike Will Become The Hero Of Democracy – Former Presidential Candidate

A former Presidential candidate has stated that Wike will end up as a hero of democracy.

EKO HOT BLOG reports that the Former presidential candidate and chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Adamu Garba says the Rivers State Governor, Nyesom Wike is on course to become a hero of democracy in Nigeria.

Garba in a statement via his Twitter account said this will happen when the G5 Governors officially announce the presidential candidate they would support for the 2023 election.

The APC chieftain insisted Wike and other G5 Governors are doing the right thing by insisting on the transfer of power to the south.

He made the submission amidst trending reports in some quarters that the aggrieved G5 Governors of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) have concluded plans to support the APC presidential candidate, Bola Tinubu.

This online media platform recalls the G5 Governors; Nyesom Wike (Rivers State), Seyi Makinde (Oyo State), Samuel Ortom (Benue State), Okezie Ikpeazu (Abia State), and Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi (Enugu State) took a stand against supporting the PDP presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar.

They insisted on the resignation of the PDP National Chairman, Iyorchia Ayu from office and his replacement with a southerner as the only condition to support Atiku’s 2023 bid.

However, despite several meetings and entreaties on how to resolve the disagreement, Ayu has refused to step down and the Governors have also not changed their position.

Taking to his Twitter account on Friday, Garba wrote: “After the formal announcement by G5 in January, Gov. Wike will become the hero of the democracy of our time.
