EKO HOT BLOG reports that Ayodele Fayose, a former governor of Ekiti State has endorsed Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu of Lagos State for a second term in office.
Despite being a member of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Fayose expressed his support for the All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate, citing the incumbent Lagos governor’s commendable performance during his four-year tenure as a reason why he deserves to be re-elected for another term.
Meanwhile, a pre-election opinion poll commissioned by Anap Foundation, a non-profit organisation, has predicted that Sanwo-Olu will win the March 11 election.
The poll results showed that Sanwo-Olu was ahead among the three leading candidates in Lagos State.
The two other candidates are Gbadebo Rhodes-Vivour of the Labour Party and Abdul-Azeez Adediran (Jandor) of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
The results of the poll, which was conducted in February before the presidential election, were released on Monday.
The poll results showed that 31 percent of the voters surveyed said they would vote for Sanwo-Olu, while 8 percent preferred Rhodes-Vivour and Jandor got 7 percent.
