They said stable security in Jos would boost economic growth and create enabling environment for other sectors to function well.

Mrs Ada Ike, a resident, said that the government had worked hard to bring peace and has recently not recorded any form of skirmishes.
“You will agree with me that crisis puts everything on hold and sabotages government efforts,’’ said Ike.
Olawunmi Okupe, Programme Officer, Gender at Inclusive Friends Association, a non-governmental organisation (NGO), said that her expectation is to get more donors to fund the organisation’s innovative ideas.

Okupe said with stable security, more donors would invest and help fund the various programmes.
Mrs Rose Okoli, a trader, said she prays for stable security to improve the economic environment that would help boost economic growth which would also add value to the citizens.
“With a stable security, a blessed state like Plateau will utilise its various economic opportunities,’’ said Okoli.
Miss Kachollom Pam, a student of the University of Jos, said she has prayed for a crisis-free academic year.
Musa Adamu, a teacher, said he wished that the government would tackle insecurity of all kinds for the citizens to have a peaceful environment.
And Ibrahim Adamu, a farmer, said that a good security system would improve and increase food production.
