Pele Rejects Media Reports, Insists His Official Goals Tally Yet To Be Broken

Pele has widely been considered as the greatest player in the history of the sport. He won 3 world cups and scored a total of 757 officially recognised goals.

On Sunday, Cristiano Ronaldo broke that record and set his own tally as he scored two goals, taking his own officially recognised goals to 758.

Prior to this time, Santos football club had earlier released a statement claiming that Pele scored 1,091 goals in total while playing for them as against the 643 that is being carried by the media.
