Peru Was Leaked By Olamide – Fireboy Reveals (See Why)

  • Says he wasn’t ready to release any song

Ekohotblog reports that YBNL star, Adedamola Adefolahan popularly known as Fireboy DML has revealed that his hit single, Peru was leaked by his label boss, Olamide. 

Fireboy made this disclosure during an interview where he revealed that he didn’t have any intention of releasing new music or even Peru which eventually became a hit song.

He noted that the decision to leak the song was Olamide’s prerogative as he was focused on doing other stuff.

Fireboy DML

Narrating how it happened, Fireboy said:

“A couple of days after recording Peru, Baddo called me and was like ‘since you’re not ready to drop any single for your fans, we might as well just leak it’.

I was in the studio recording and I was like ‘do anything you want, it’s fine. I didn’t take him seriously and I woke up to the song on YouTube and here we are”

The 25-year-old is signed to YBNL nation and has 2 albums to his credit; Laughter Tears and Goosebumps (2019), and Apollo (2020).

His hit single, Peru continues to dominate music charts with many top artistes making a cover of it.
