EKO HOT BLOG reports that the candidate of the Labour Party (LP) Peter Obi has been declared the winner of the presidential election in Ebonyi State.
He defeated his counterparts; Bola Tinubu of the All Progressive Congress(APC) who came second and the Peoples Democratic Party(PDP) candidate Atiku Abubakar who placed third.
The results were announced at the Ebonyi Independent National Electoral Commission(INEC) in Abakaliki, the capital of the State on Tuesday.
The Collation Officer for Ebonyi State, Prof Charles Igwe, who is the Vice Chancellor of the University of Nigeria (UNN) announced the final results.
Peter Obi garnered 259,738 votes while Tinubu got 42,402 votes and Atiku scored 13,503 votes.
