EKO HOT BLOG reports that the Presidential candidate of the Labour Party (LP), Mr. Peter Obi, has begun his political rally in Lagos state with visits to various markets.

During his visits, Mr. Obi conveyed his message of a “New Nigeria” to traders and business owners, promising them a better business environment across the country if they voted for him and his running mate.

Mr. Obi emphasized that it is unacceptable for children to be out of school for extended periods of time and stated that if elected, he would take steps to ensure that Lagos remains the country’s economic hub, with tangential development along the state’s coastline.

He also promised to address the chronic traffic problems in Lagos by introducing mass transit rail services to reduce commuting and business difficulties.

However, the Chief Spokesperson of the Obi-Datti Presidential Campaign Council (PCC), Yunusa Tanko, raised concerns about attacks on members of the Obidient Movement and other supporters en route to the Tafawa Balewa Square campaign ground. Despite these setbacks, Tanko stated that “nothing can stop a movement whose time has come.”

Mr. Obi kicked off his day with visits to the Ojo International Market and the Alaba International Market, where he received what he described as “awesome receptions.” He thanked the people of Lagos for their engagement and stated that the mission to “take back Nigeria” is real and in sight.

In his final remarks, Mr. Obi declared that “saving Nigeria is now or never” and expressed his gratitude to the Obidients and Nigerian youths.
