PFN Chairman, Wife Abducted In Kaduna

Emmanuel Bako, Kaduna state chairman of Pentecostal Fellowship of Nigeria (PFN), and Sandra Bako, his wife have been kidnapped by suspected gunmen, Ekohotblog reports.

According Mohammed Jalige, police public relations officer (PPRO) in the state, who confirmed incident, the duo were kidnapped at Albarka camp, Fadan Kagoma, near Kafanchan in Jema’a local government area on Friday.

He disclosed that the abduction happened around 8pm, adding that one Douglas was also kidnapped

Jalige said effort is on to rescue the victims unhurt.

“The hoodlums met them at prayer camp, somewhere in the bush; they went for prayers. They were not the only people in that place, at the prayer camp. There were a lot of people. So with quick intervention of the police, the other people were rescued back to Kafanchan”

He said the force is pulling its weight to ensure “the rescue of the kidnap victims unhurt” and also see to it that perpetrators of the crime are apprehended.

Reacting, Lawrence Ekwok, PFN chairman in Cross River state, described the incident as terrible, saying the cleric must regain his freedom unscathed in other not to “incur the wrath of God”.
