Phone Accessories Hawker Killed By Hit-And-Run Driver Ondo

• A phone accessories hawker has been killed by a hit-and-run driver in Ondo State.

EKOHOTBLOG reports that a phone accessories hawker has lost his life after he was knocked down by a hit-and-run driver in Ondo State.

 

It was gathered that the middle-aged man was hit by the driver who was on top speed along the Airport Road, Oba-Ile in the Akure North Local Government Area of Ondo State.

 

Another hawker, it was learnt, sustained varying degrees of injury in the accident which occurred at the front of a popular event centre in the Oba-Ile area.

 

An eyewitness disclosed that the deceased whose identity could not be ascertained was using wheelbarrow to hawk his goods when he was hit by the driver.

The source added that the phone accessories hawker died instantly after he was hit.

The eyewitness added that the driver who drove a Toyota Venza zoomed off immediately he hit the middle-aged man.

 

Speaking on the incident, the Sector Commander of Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) in Ondo State, Ezekiel SonAllah, noted that “the corpse of the dead victim had been deposited in the morgue while the injured person has been taken to the hospital for treatment.”
