EKO HOT BLOG reports that 26-year-old Kehinde Sadiq Idris, a Nigerian national, has been arrested in India by the Prune City Police for alleged possession of cocaine worth Rs 3.46 lakh (N1.9m).
According to reports, a patrolling team from the Anti-Narcotics Cell and the Uttamnagar police station intercepted a two-wheeler near Kutje around 2 a.m. on Saturday.
According to the Indian Express, cops apprehended the two-wheeler rider when he attempted to flee the scene.
It said during searches, they recovered 23.9 grams of cocaine worth Rs 3,46,350 from his possession.
Police also seized his vehicle, two cell phones and cash of Rs 6,000 from him.
The online portal said an offence was lodged against him at the Uttamnagar police station under sections of the Narcotics Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act.
Police Inspector Vinayak Gaikwad said the accused has been arrested earlier in a case of illegal drugs trade.
