The Nigerian Army Cantonment in Ikeja Lagos, in collaboration with the Lagos State Government, hosted a groundbreaking departure ceremony for the 88 RRI candidates who are about to leave for a six-month military drill and recruitment training exercise in Zaria.
The event was attended by the governor of Lagos State, represented by the Deputy Governor, Dr. Kadri Obafemi Hamzat, Secretary to the State Government of Lagos, Barr. ‘Bimbola Salu-Hundeyin, Honourable Commissioner representing Lagos State at FCC, Hon AbdulWasiu Kayode Bawalla, and Brigadier General Olawale Matthew Oyekola, 48th Commander of the 9 Brigade Nigerian Army, among others.
In addition, candidates from the 88 RRI gathered on the parade ground in large numbers to demonstrate some of the gallantry they had been taught and trained in three weeks.
