PHOTOS: Angry Youths Dumped Caskets On The Streets As They Demand Late IPOB Commander’s Body

  • Some days ago, the Commander of ESN, Ikonso was allegedly killed by Nigerian Military.
  • This has been a tragedy to his relatives and his fellow ESN members.

Recent news coming from Imo State reveals that some Youths of the state who are reportedly IPOB members have staged a protest by demanding for the remains of Ikonso, a commander in the Eastern Security Network, ESN that was killed by the Nigeria security officers days ago.

The youths were seen with different types of casket kept on the road in Awomama area of the state.

Some roads in the area were blocked as they chant that the Imo state Governor should release the body of their leader for them to pay their respect as the custom demand.

Recall that the combine team of the Nigeria Police, Department of State Service and Nigerian Army, in a joint operation stormed Awomama, the operational headquarters of the ESN in Oru East Local Government Area of Imo State killing the ESN commander ‘Ikonso’ and six other members of the group.

The body of Ikonso was paraded and taken away by the officers and ever since, the body has not been buried.

This is the reason why some youths are protesting with caskets in order to recover his body for burial,   EKO HOT BLOG  gathered.
