Recall that eleven Marines, one Army soldier and one Navy corpsman died, along with nearly 200 Afghans. Five of the dead Soldiers came from California. The rest hailed from Indiana, Massachusetts, Missouri, Nebraska, Ohio, Tennessee, Texas and Wyoming.

The fallen service members were killed while supporting non-combat operations in Kabul, Afghanistan after the Taliban swept into Kabul this month, taking over control of the Aghan government.
