PHOTOS: Buhari, Osinbajo Decorate Colonel Dodo as New Aide-De-Camp

Lt. Yusuf Dodo, Buhari’s aide-de-camp (ADC), was decorated by the President on Thursday.

Vice President Yemi Osinbajo and the wife of the ADC stood by the president during a brief ceremony at the State House in Abuja prior to the start of the National Security Council meeting.

Following the nomination of the ADC at the time, Mohammed Abubakar, for a promotion course, Dodo’s nomination was accepted by the president in January.

Abubakar has been selected to attend a five-month strategic and defense course in Santiago, Chile, beginning March 8 and ending July 30, 2021.

The course is a prerequisite for his next promotion to the rank of a brigadier-general.

Dodo had understudied Abubakar for almost three weeks to learn the ropes of his new assignment.

Until his nomination, Dodo was the adjutant of the Nigerian Defence Academy (NDA), Kaduna.

The office of the ADC works with other agencies to provide security for the president and his family.

The ADC also attends to the personal needs of the president and other matters regarding his functions as the commander-in-chief of the armed forces.
