EKO HOT BLOG reports that Barrister Akin Agbaje, a former Edo State Commissioner for Energy and Electricity, has resigned from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) to join the All Progressives Congress as the 2023 elections approach (APC).

In order to ensure that the APC wins the general elections in 2023, Agbaje, a former director of the Godwin Obaseki Campaign Organization in Akoko-Edo Local Government Area (LGA), says he is defecting alongside many of his supporters.

Adams Oshiomhole, a former National Chairman of the APC, welcomed the defectors in Igarra.

Speaking at the event, Oshiomhole said: “We have got to a point that all Nigerian leaders that are in politics and in business must recognise that we must build and rebuild a country worthy for all.
