Eko Hot Blog reports that the Minister of Health for State and Social Welfare, Dr. Tunji Alausa, on Wednesday, visited Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, at the governor’s office, Lagos House, Marina, Lagos.
The purpose of the meeting was not immediately clear but it may be connected to the federal health ministry’s drive to reform the country’s ailing health sector.
Since Dr. Alausa was appointed by President Bola Tinubu in August, the United States-based Nephrologist has often spoken about the administration’s commitment to leave Nigeria with a robust health system that serves all Nigerians.
The courtesy visit marks the minister’s first visit to Lagos State since he was appointed minister. He hails from Epe, Lagos.
