Eko Hot Blog reports that, acting on the complaints received from the Ora-Ekpen/Ifelodun Residents and Plot Owners Association, the enforcement team of the Lagos State Ministry of the Environment and Water Resources, under the directive of the Honourable Commissioner, Mr. Tokunbo Wahab, took decisive action yesterday.

They removed shanties, kiosks, and makeshift structures that were illegally built on drainage channels and along the road leading to the community.
This intervention was a direct response to the concerns raised by the residents themselves. The illegal structures posed potential environmental hazards and safety risks, prompting the authorities to take swift action.
