Lagos Commissioner of Police, CP Idowu Owohunwa
Eko Hot Blog reports that the Lagos State Commissioner of Police, CP Idowu Owohunwa, has commended the management and members of Lagos Rapid Response Squad (RRS) for their professionalism, courage, sacrifice and discipline in policing the state.
The Lagos police chief delivered the words of encouragement on Wednesday during his first official working visit to RRS Headquarters in Alausa, Ikeja.

Owohunwa, who urged the RSS officers to do more, said the squad has provided much assistance in helping to stabilise Lagos State.
“If there is any unit that has assisted me in stabilising the state more, it is RRS,” the police commissioner said.
“They call you at any time, you respond. I have come to thank you for your sacrifice and that only God can continue to protect and reward the services you render to this state.”
He commended successive governments and the current administration for the investments in RRS.
The police commissioner was received by the commander of the RRS, CSP Yinka Egbeyemi.

RRS is a special security outfit founded and funded by the Lagos State Government and it was created to serve as the metropolitan police to maintain law and order within the metropolis, as well as the nooks and crannies of the state.
