Ahead of the next general elections coming up in 2023, some Nigerian Pastors have released prophecies concerning the poll.
In this piece, EKO HOT BLOG will examine five prophecies about who will succeed President Muhammadu Buhari in 2023 since that is one of the most debated issues in the nation’s political space at the moment.
(1.) Prophet Joshua Arogun’s prophecy
Prophet Joshua Arogun is the head pastor of the Light of the World International Church. He recently claimed he has seen a divine revelation about who will succeed President Buhari in 2023.
According to him, a former governor from the southeast who was recently released from prison will succeed Buhari.
Going by the nation’s political developments, Senator Orji Uzor Kalu, the former governor of Abia State, fits the description. He was imprisoned over corruption but the Supreme Court recently nullified his conviction and ordered a retrial.
(2.) Apostle Paul Okikijesu’s prophecy
In his own prophecy, Apostle Paul Okikijesu of the Christ Apostolic Miracle Ministry said an aspirant for the 2023 presidential election will die in 2021.

(3.) Pastor Toye Ebijomore’s prophecy
The founder and General Overseer of God’s Anointed and Blessed Church International, Pastor Toye Ebijomore, said in his prophecy that God has already anointed the next man to take over from President Buhari in 2023.
He said the person will not struggle for the position, adding that God told him not to reveal the person’s name for now.
(4.) Apostle Vitalis Odumma’s prophecy
In his own prophecy, Apostle Vitalis Odumma, a United Kingdom-based Nigerian cleric, said the presidency won’t go to the southeast in 2023 despite the agitations by the Ndigbo.
Apostle Odumma who is from Imo State said Igbo politicians jostling for the presidency in 2023 should wait for their turn. According to him, God has not sanctioned the emergence of an Igbo as the country’s number one citizen.
(5.) Primate Elijah Ayodele’s prophecy
Primate Elijah Ayodele is the head of INRI Evangelical Spiritual Church headquartered in Lagos.
Primate Ayodele also said the Igbo should not think about having the presidency in 2023 because they will be neglected.
The pastor added that the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) will be defeated again in 2023 if it fields Atiku Abubakar as its presidential candidate.
