EKO HOT BLOG reports that the visit, announced through a statement on MC Oluomo’s official Instagram account, aimed to strengthen ties between the NURTW and the Ministry of Marine and Blue Economy.
MC Oluomo was accompanied by senior officials of the union, including the National Secretary, Kayode Agbeyangi, and Sulaimon Ojora, also known as Kudeleti, who serves as the Lagos State NURTW Council Treasurer and Chief of Staff to the NURTW National President.
In the statement, MC Oluomo highlighted the importance of the visit, calling it a strategic step in building alliances with key government stakeholders.
The statement read: “On Wednesday, December 11, 2024, Alhaji Musiliu Ayinde Akinsanya (MC Oluomo), National President of the National Union of Road Transport Workers (NURTW), paid a courtesy visit to the Honorable Minister of Marine and Blue Economy, Adegboyega Isiaka Oyetola, at his office in Abuja.
“Accompanying the NURTW President were key officials, including Comrade Kayode Agbeyangi, National Secretary of the union, and Comrade Sulaimon Ojora (Kudeleti), State Treasurer of the NURTW Lagos State Council and Chief of Staff to the NURTW National President.
“This high-profile meeting underscores the NURTW’s commitment to building collaborative relationships with government stakeholders to advance the interests of road transport workers and promote the growth of Nigeria’s transportation sector.”
