PHOTOS: Police Ask Lagos Residents To Identify Serial Thief

  • The suspected thief allegedly had a Modus Operandi (MO) of pretending to be a cook/chef when targeting his victims.

  • He reportedly sedated his victims before carting away their valuables.

  • The police said some of his victims already identified him.

Eko Hot Blog reports that the Lagos State Police Command is calling on residents of the state to come identify one Wilfred Amoussou, a suspected serial thief.

In a series of tweets on Thursday, the command spokesperson, SP Benjamin Hundeyin, alleged that Amoussou used the cover of a cook/chef to heavily sedate his victims and steal from them.

He allegedly operated in the Ikoyi, Banana Island and Parkview areas of Lagos for years.

Benjamin, who disclosed that the suspect is in police custody, therefore, urged victims to come forward to identify him.

“Wilfred Amoussou would take up a job as cook/chef, heavily sedate his employers with Benzodiazepines and steal their valuables. He has done this to different victims, over years, in Ikoyi, Banana Island and Parkview,” the police spokesperson in Lagos tweeted.
