Photos: Super Eagles Set To Travel To Benin Republic By Boat Ahead Of AFCON Match
- The Super Eagles will secure their ticket to the next Africa Cup of Nations in Cameroon next year if they win one of their two remaining qualifying matches.
- Nigeria top Group L with eight points from four matches
- They face Benin Republic on Saturday in Porto Novo and Lesotho on Tuesday in Lagos
The Super Eagles will be travelling to face Benin republic for their Africa Cup of Nations qualification on Saturday at the Charles De Gaulle Stadium, Porto Novo scheduled for 5.00PM.
Ahead of this important fixtures, the Nigerian Super Eagles team will be travelling to neighboring Benin by Sea (boat) instead of the usual air by (plane), or by road.
The team have opted for sea transportation due to the bad road between both countries, and also the oveload of protocols for short flight across the border, EKO HOT BLOG gathered.
The Nigerian Super Eagles head Coach Gernot Rohr has assured his the Super Eagles will enjoy the boat trip across to Benin ahead of their AFCON qualifier Saturday.
Gernot Rohr said:
“It will be the best way to go there, last Saturday, I made the trip and we were flying on water. It was so quick and calm.”
