For over a decade now, Nigeria has been in war with Boko Haram terrorism and the now grown ISWAP. The war has left many people homeless, some dead and many are in grief over the lost of loved ones to the cold hand of terror death.
The war has killed 36,000 people and displaced hundreds of thousands in the northeast.
The Islamic State of West African Province (ISWAP) split from the jihadist group Boko Haram in 2016 and has since become a dominant threat in Nigeria, attacking troops and bases while killing and kidnapping passengers at bogus checkpoints.

Nigeria’s jihadist violence has spread to neighboring Chad, Cameroon and Niger, prompting a regional military coalition to fight the insurgents.
It is also pertinent to recon that the Nigerian military has been recording some successes over the war against the terrorists in the recent time. Below is a list of three helicopters that could increase the fearful tempo in the heart of the terror group.
Boeing AH-64E
The AH-64E (AH-64D Block III) is a more advance version of the original AH-64A, it was designed to replace the AH-1 Cobra for the US Army. Also, the Apacha helicopter was seen in action in several recent wars such as the Vietnam War.
One of the unique features of this helicopter is that it has a mast-mounted antenna with improved Longbow fire control radar which is installed aboard the Apache Guardian and also a-30 millimeter cannon, that can also be seen aboard the chopper.
In addition, what makes the helicopter deadly is its In Fire-and-Forget mode, this attack helicopter can shoot Hellfire 2 anti-tank guided missiles at its target nonstop until the whole rounds are wasted on them.

Mi-28
The Mi-28 is another gunship that has been undergoing series of development since the 1970s. The Russian Army in 2006 eventuallly approved this aircraft for service and only a few of these helicopters are currently in used by the Russian Military. Some sources are said it is being used in Kenya.
Some of the features this weapon of mass destruction has are two fully armored cockpits which are installed on this attack helicopter.
Some military experts have described it as perhaps, one of the most heavily armored attack helicopters ever built.
One unique feature about this helicopter is that the crew of the Mi-28 is also provided with an emergency escape device if the helicopter malfunctions while on air.
Lastly, the Mi-28 is equipped with eight Ataka anti-armor missiles and unguarded rocket pods in most cases. The gunship also has a 30 mm cannon.
A129 Mangusta
The A129 Mangusta was the first dedicated attack helicopter built in Western Europe.
Mangusta production was halted in 1992 following the conclusion of the Cold War as a result of poor funding and the operational needs that changed. Later, all Mangustas in Italy were updated to meet the A129 International Standard.
This is due to the fact that it is a light assault helicopter; it has less armor than its competitors.
Despite this, the rotor blades of the Mangusta can survive 30 mm bullets. The Mangusta’s primary mission is to serve as an anti-tank vessel.
It is also noted to be armed with anti-tank Hellfire or TOW missiles, as well as anti-aircraft Stinger or Mistral missiles which have been known to have caused great damages on enemies or equipment its being used on.
It also might be potentially be used to transport unguided rockets.
