Eko Hot Blog reports that the Minister of State for Health and Social Welfare, Dr. Tunji Alausa, has met with Dr. Pamela Ajayi, Head of the Healthcare Federation of Nigeria (HFN) and her team.
The meeting held at the minister’s office in the Federal Ministry of Health, Abuja, on Tuesday.
According to the minister, the meeting focused on how the health minister can better partner with organisations like HFN to improve healthcare access, practices and quality.
Alausa noted that the establishment of more Public Private Partnerships (PPP) is key to implementing Universal Health Coverage.
“On Tuesday 21st November, I had the pleasure of meeting Dr. Pamela Ajayi, Head of the Healthcare Federation of Nigeria (HFN) and her team, to discuss how the Federal Ministry can better partner with organisations like hers to improve healthcare access, practices and quality,” he wrote on social media.
“Establishing more Public Private Partnerships (PPP) is key to implementing Universal Health Coverage and achieving the UN’s Sustainable Development Goal 3 (to ensure healthy live and promote wellbeing for all at all ages).
“I look forward to working with HFN and other private organisations to strengthen our healthcare system.”
