For over 12 years, the Hotel and conference centre Projects of the Murtala Muhammed Airport (MMA), Lagos have remained abandoned following the protracted legal tussle over the concession agreement between the Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN) and Concessionaire, Bi-Courtney Aviation Services Limited (BASL), Operations of the Murtala Muhammed Airport terminal two(MMA2).
This 18 Storey Building was abandoned by late General Sani Abacha. The building rests on two acres of land located at Iyana Era, along Badagry Expressway. Ijanikin Lagos State.
It is alleged that the late former head of state under his military regime started the building but left it halfway because of his death.
Since the death of the General, no Government official, both State, or Federal has done anything to renovate or complete the building, even his family members.
