Plateau State Gov Lalong Appoints New General Manager For Plateau Publishing Corporation

Plateau state governor, Simon Lalong has appointed Dr. Boniface Gwotbit as the General Manager of Plateau Publishing Corporation, the publishers of the Nigerian Standard Newspapers.

The Governor announced this in a statement issued by his Director of Press and Public Affairs, Dr. Makut Macham on Wednesday in Jos.

While commending the new director, the governor noted that he had charged him with the duty of bringing out the best in the company.

He alleged that he believes in Gwotbit’s capacity and urges him to put his experience into the growth of the publishing corporation.

The governor implored the new director to restore the Nigerian Standard newspapers to its position, as one of the most vibrant newspapers in the country.

Gov. Lalong thanked the former director, Mrs. Yanka.t Wannang and demanded that the duty of the corporation be handed over to Gwotbit with immediate effect.

Dr. Boniface Gwotbit who now emerges as the new general manager Plateau Publishing Corporation, publishers of the Nigerian Standard Newspapers, has a Ph.D. in Business Administration from Bamenda International University, Cameroon, and a former Management Committee Chairman of Mikang Local Government.

He was the Director of Marketing of the Corporation and has served in the organization for 32 years
