EKO HOT BLOG reports that the Director-General of the APC Presidential Campaign Council, Simon Lalong, said on Friday that Plateau State would have a place of pride when Bola Tinubu eventually becomes Nigeria’s president after the 2023 polls.
The Plateau State Governor said this while expressing optimism that the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) will retain power at all levels after the 2023 general elections.
In a statement through his Director of Press and Public Affairs, Dr Makut Macham, Lalong said the people are loyal and dedicated to the APC due to various projects and programmes by the administration.
Lalong stated this during a meeting with the party’s stakeholders and supporters on Friday in Shendam his hometown, where he went to relate with his kindred during the Yuletide celebrations.
Lalong, who is also the senatorial candidate for Plateau South Senatorial District, assured the people that the Tinubu and Shettima ticket would work for all Nigerians.
“Tinubu and Shettima will work for all Nigerians and also ensure that there is equity, justice and fairness in the distribution of resources of the nation,” he said.
According to him, his appointment as the APC campaign Director-General was an indication that the Shendam people and Plateau in general already have a place of pride when Tinubu becomes president.
Lalong said his visit is an opportunity for further engagements with stakeholders while also sensitising the people on the goodwill of the party in the upcoming polls.
Lalong charged the citizens to vote for APC at all levels and not to fall prey to the gimmicks of the opposition, saying, “they are making promises without any record of performance”.
On his part, the Chairman of Shendam Local Government Council, Miskoom Alex Naantuam, pledged that the stakeholders would vote for APC at all levels because of the quality of candidates and their capacity to deliver.
