Eko Hot Blog reports that the Aladeuraka of Poka land, Oba Ayodele Aliru, has urged all indigenes of Poka land, both within and outside the country, to return home and participate in the socio-economic advancement of the ancient Kingdom.

The monarch made the call in a recent interview on the sidelines of the Kilajolu masquerade festival. The Kilajolu masquerade symbolises the end of slave trade in Epe.

Speaking with Eko Hot Blog, Oba Aliru stated that the cooperation of Poka indigenes is crucial to ensuring the kingdom’s progress and development.

The monarch, who noted the need for indigenes to keep a close watch on the affairs of Poka land, said every stakeholder must be involved in the task to move the community forward.

He also emphasized the importance of staying informed and actively involved in decision-making processes.
