Police Arrest 15 Suspected Traffic Robbers In Lagos

Operatives of the Lagos State Police Command attached to the Rapid Response Squad (RRS) has arrested 15 suspected robbers in different areas of the state, as it intensifies efforts in mopping up criminals suspected to be attacking motorists and commuters in traffic.
The suspects were arrested in Oshodi and Ketu (Alausa) parts of the metropolis between Friday 29th and Saturday 30th of January.
“11 young men were apprehended in Oshodi-Oke for traffic robbery, two were caught in the act in Alausa and another two in Ipaja,” a tweet put out by the RRS read.

The arrest came on the heels of a 4-day surveillance on black spots in the areas with a view to weeding out criminals.
The Police said that the suspects, most of who pretend to be load carriers in Oshodi, abscond with travellers’ loads at dawn and at night as well as attack and mug unsuspecting Lagosians.
