Police Arrest 25 ‘Sara Suka’ Thugs in Kaduna
Operatives of the Kaduna State Police Command have apprehended 25 members of the notorious gang known as ‘sara suka’ that has been terrorizing communities across the state.
Eko Hot Blog gathered that out of the 25 suspects, 16 were arrested in the Rigasa area with weapons and charged with thuggery.
The state Police Public Relations Officer, Mansir Hassan, disclosed this in a statement released in Kaduna as the command unveiled a new unit, the Anti Vice Unit.
Hassan explained that due to a rise in thuggery, phone and female handbag snatching, and drug-related offences among youths, the state Commissioner of Police, Audu Dabigi, established the new unit to clamp down on all social vices in the state.
He stated that the new unit will collaborate with all police divisions to address cases of thuggery, phone snatching, drug and illicit substance consumption, and arms possession.
