EKO HOT BLOG reports that the Lagos State Police Command has confirmed the arrest of two suspected armed robbers terrorising the Lekki-Ajah axis in the state.
The Command, via a statement by the Lagos State Police Public Relations Officer, Muyiwa Adejobi, on Thursday, disclosed that police operatives attached to Ilasan Division arrested the two suspected armed robbers on Tuesday.
The police spokesperson stated that Samson Tella, 37, and Raphael John, 21, specialized in “one chance” and have been terrorising the Lekki-Ajah axis.
According to Adejobi, the suspected armed robbers around 9.30pm on Monday attacked the owner of a Toyota Corrolla car, with Reg No. JJJ 242 FW, at Ikate.
EKO HOT BLOG gathered that the robbers took over the steering, drove him to an ATM point around the area, and withdrew N20,000 from his account.

It was further learnt that the victim quickly informed the police who tracked and traced the car to a mechanic workshop at Lafiaji in Lagos Island.
The police spokesperson stated that the victim identified Samson Tella after the suspects were arrested with the stolen vehicle.
Adejobi added that the Lagos State Commissioner of Police, Hakeem Odumosu, has directed tactical commanders to fast-track actions against traffic robbers and other criminals in the state.
He further noted that the police commissioner has also ordered that the suspects be transferred to the Special Squad, Ikeja, for proper investigation and prosecution.
