Police Arrest Social Media User, Kehinde Adekusibe Who Tweeted ‘Let’s Kill All The Igbos’

The police subsequently swung into action and nabbed the hateful Twitter user.
Eko Hot Blog reports that the Osun State Police Command has arrested Kehinde Adesogba Adekusibe, a social media user, for hateful conduct.
Adekusibe, 28, tweeted,” “Let’s kill all Igbos” on May 18, 2023, attracting widespread condemnation.

The tweet, which further charged that “let’s flush them [Igbos] out of Yoruba lands”, also caught the attention of the police who arrested him on Thursday.
“Let’s kill all the Igbos Let’s flush them out of Yoruba lands. I hate these people with passion. They are violent people. They a [sic] the worst. They hate us,” the tweet reads in full.
In a statement on Friday, the Osun police command said the suspect “violated the social media policy on hate speech.”
The police said Adekusibe was arrested in Ilesa, Osun State, on Thursday.
“Immediately, the Police Command received the report, Police detectives from the Cyber crime section at SCID Osogbo swung into action, and through intelligence led investigation, the suspect was arrested at Ilesa where he hibernated,” the statement reads.
The police disclosed that the suspect has confessed to the crime, and will be charged to court after the completion of the investigation.
“We have done what is needful on this matter. It can only take some times, every offence committed leaves a trace, and culprits will surely face the music,” the statement added.
